I am working as a project assistant at CeNSE, IISc, Bangalore. My current field of research is chalcogenide glass for neuromorphic applications. I completed my bachelor's from Vivekananada college, Puttur, and currently pursuing master's in nanotechnology from National Institute of Technology Karnataka, Surathkal.
Research :
An on-chip neural network has emerged as one of the solutions to the von Neumann bottleneck. Its ability to process and store information has led to an increase in bandwidth. However, realizing synapse and multi-synaptic weight is a challenge in the neural network. Chalcogenide glasses with non-volatile phase change property integrated with photonic platforms have shown potential application in this field.
My work will be mainly exploring various chalcogenide materials and integrating them with photonics devices. I will exploit these materials' non-volatile phase change characteristics to realize the multiple synapses ona chip.
